Ingredients For Daal Mash Khara Masala:

- 1 cup whole black gram (dal mash), soaked overnight
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- 2 tablespoons oil or ghee

Instructions For Daal Mash Khara Masala:


1. Cook soaked dal mash in a pressure cooker until soft. Set aside.

2. In a pan, heat oil or ghee. Add cumin seeds and fry until golden brown.

3. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

4. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook until the raw smell disappears.

5. Then add the chopped tomatoes and cook till they become soft and the oil separates.

  6. After the tomatoes are dissolved, add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt and cook. Cook the masala for a few minutes.

7. Add the cooked dal mash to the masala and mix well. Add water if required and cook for 10 to 15 minutes so that the spices are well mixed and the taste is uniform.

  8. After the dal is cooked, sprinkle garam masala in it and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. And the hot standing masala dal mash is ready۔
