Meat is usually used to prepare Shami Kebab recipe. It can be chicken, mutton or any meat. The meat is made into fine mince. And from this, chickpeas are mixed with natural herbs and spices to prepare Shami kebabs. Spicy spices include red chilies, chopped red chilies, salt, cumin, dried coriander, cloves, cinnamon, and cardamom. While one of the natural spices is added garlic, ginger, green chilies, green coriander, etc. Kebabs can be tasty and delicious.

Prepared Shami Kebabs are served with salad, various chutneys, raita, naan, double roti, roti, biryani, or various khanas. To prepare Chicken Shami Kebab recipe we need some ingredients which are:

Ingredients of Shami Kebab Recipe:

  •   - 500 grams of ground chicken (minced chicken)
  •   - 1/2 cup gram dal (split gram dal), soak in water for 2 hours.
  •   - 1 small onion, roughly chopped
  •   - 2-3 green chilies, chopped (according to your spice preference)
  •   4-5 cloves of garlic
  •   1 inch piece of ginger
  •   - 1 teaspoon of cumin
  •   - 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
  •   - 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  •   - 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  •   - 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (according to your spice preference)
  •   -3 or 4 tablespoons coriander, chopped
  •   -3 or 4 tablespoons mint leaves, chopped
  •   - 1 egg, beaten
  •   - Salt to taste
  •   - Vegetable oil for frying

  How to make Shami Kebab:

Wash and Cook Chicken & Daal Chana:

Before making the Chicken Shami Kebab, wash and clean the lentils and chicken well. And then in a separate vessel, soak the dal Chana in water for about 2 to 3 hours. After that, take the dal Chana out of the water and separate it. And wash again with more clean water so that the lentils are completely clean. Then take a big pot, put lentils, chickpeas and chicken in it and add enough water so that the lentils are dipped in it. And cook it on high inch till it boils then reduce inch and leave it to cook. until it becomes soft and you can check it by grinding it with the help of your fingers. And dry it by squeezing enough water. After the water dries, take the dal down and let it cool. Set aside and separate the chicken.


Add Chopped Onion, Chopped Green Chilies, Ginger, Garlic paste:

Put the cooled dal in a mixing bowl or khundi danda. Add chopped onions, chopped green chilies, garlic, ginger paste and coat it thickly. 

If the dal paste is too hard, you can add little water to soften it.

Add Chicken and Spicy Masala:


Mash the separated chicken and make fiber. Take a mixing bowl and add the mashed chicken and dal paste to it. After that, add cumin, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, chopped coriander, mint leaves, and salt and mix well until the whole paste is uniform.

Shape the Mixture into Kebabs or Pattie's:

After the mixture is ready, divide the mixture into small one-sized pieces with the help of your hands and make them into kebabs or patties.

Then Fry Shami Kebab:

Take an egg and beat it well, then add any cooking oil, ghee or oil of your choice in a frying pan and heat it. Fry them in oil one by one until golden brown and the top is crispy and crispy.

Serve the Shami Kebab:

Take a big plate or any tray and keep paper or tissue paper in it to absorb the oil of the fried Shami Kebab well. Can. You can prepare Shami Kebab with any side dish and enjoy homemade Shami Kebab.
