Fried fish is a delicious dish that is very popular and it is a protein rich food which is very beneficial and gives energy in winter. Most people eat it in winter because it warms the body. Everyone likes fried fish very much, whether it is a party or a function or a guest or a function at home, you can easily make this fried fish at home, it is very easy to make.
Marinated with various spices and gram flour peppers and desired herbs, it is cooked till it is fried well.

Lahori Fried Fish Recipe:

Ingredients for fried Fish:

  • Fish( Dumara) 1 kg 
  • Ginger 3 tbsp.
  • Swab 1 tsp 
  •  Soaked fish 1 kg 
  •  Lemon juice 2 tbsp 
  •  Swab 1 tsp 
  •  Red Chilli Greasepaint 1 tbsp 
  •  Turmeric greasepaint 1 tsp 
  •  Gusto garlic paste 1 tbsp 
  •  Gram flour 1 mug 
  •  Egg 1 
  •  Red Chilli Flakes 1 tbsp 
  •  Coriander( ground) 1 ½ tbsp 
  •  Cumin( ground) 1 tbsp 
  •  Carom seeds( crushed)1/2 tsp 
  •  Chaat masala 1 tsp 
  •  Tamarind pulp1/4 mug 
  •  All- purpose flour 2 tbsp 
  •  Directions for Fried Fish 
  •  Marinated fish 
  •  Oil painting( for stem) as needed

Instructions for Fried Fish Recipe:

1. Wash the fish well and add ginger garlic paste, salt, vinegar and water in a bowl and mix well and add the fish and leave it to soak for 15 to 20 minutes.

2. Then in a bowl, add fish soaked in it, gram flour, red chili powder, turmeric, egg, ginger, garlic paste, lemon juice, ground coriander, ground cumin, ground chaat, spices, carom seeds, ground tamarind pulp and mix the fish well. Marinate it and keep it in the fridge for three to four hours.

3. Take a frying pan or kadai and heat the oil in it. When the oil is hot, fry the marinated fish for five to six minutes or until it is completely fried.

4. After frying, place a tissue or paper in a tray or a large plate and remove the pieces of fish.

Just your home made fried dumra fish is ready enjoy with your favorite raita or other chutney.
