Ingredients For Chicken Soup:

- 1 whole chicken (about 3-4 pounds)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 cups water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 bay leaf
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

1. Place the whole chicken in a large pot and add the chopped onion, carrots, celery, and minced garlic.

2. Pour in 8 cups of water and add the bay leaf.Add salt and black pepper to taste in the water.

 3. Bring the water to a boil in a pot, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover and let it simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
